JOHN HINGER

John is the founder and principal engineer of Hinger Engineering. He provides technical consultation on behalf of vehicle manufacturers and suppliers on a variety of vehicle issues as they relate to design, development, testing, regulation and performance of occupant safety systems. His expertise is in the areas of automotive engineering, design analysis, injury causation/mitigation and accident reconstruction. Mr. Hinger also specializes in issues related to vehicle crashworthiness and occupant protection, including inflatable restraint systems (airbags), seatbelts, and child safety seats.

Mr. Hinger has provided engineering analysis and expert testimony on vehicle crashworthiness and occupant protection issues for more than 30 years, including several years while employed in the auto industry.
